Lake Maggiore and Borromean islands
Lake Maggiore and - particularly - the Borromean Gulf, is internationally famous for its landscape, temperate climate and resorts.
The Gulf's main attraction is the famous Borromean Islands: Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori, and finally the small island of San Giovanni, the only one that cannot be visited.
A boat trip is definitely the best way to turn your trip on Lake Maggiore into a unique and unforgettable experience: much more than a holiday!
Lake Maggiore is the second largest Italian lake after Lake Garda. It is also known as Lake Locarno and about 80% of its surface is on Italian territory and 20% on Swiss territory. The landscape is quite diverse: surrounded by magnificent castles, palaces and gardens, it features deep inlets along the coast alternating with lush vegetation. There are eleven islands on the lake divided between Piedmont, Switzerland and Lombardy. A boat trip offers the best view of the lake and its shores.
